Before the Spirit Temple, you must rescue the four carpenters from the Gerudo Fortress. The Gerudo's are all female, except
for Ganondorf, and will throw you in a cell if they find you. Kill them with arrows to sneak by. Each of the carpenters is
guarded by a gerudo theif who is summoned when you talk to them. Beware the Gerudo Spin Attack, which you cannot block. After
you free the last carpenter the second in command is impressed with your skill and allows you free passage ( this also includes
axis to the gerudo training ground, where you can get the ice arrows). The Gerudo's will tell you about the Spirit Temple across
the desert, but first you must pass the two trials: the river of sand and the phantom guide. Longshot to the boxes over the
quicksand and follow the flags to the hut, then use the eye of truth to see the poe who guides you to the Desert Colossus.
The Spirit Temple is divided into two parts, you won't be able to move the huge block on the right, but reading the signs
will reveal that you must return as a child. Sheik will meet you outside and teach you the Requiem of Spirit to return to
the desert. Relinquish the Master Sword and warp back as a child. Entering the Temple you will meet the Gerudo Theif Nabooru
- she will ask you to get the Silver Gauntlets for her, agree and she will let you go through. After you beat the first Iron
Knuckle ( use Nayru's love for protection), you will be given the Silver Gauntlets, but Nabooru will be kidnapped by the two
witches Koume and Kotake.
Return to the Temple of Time and warp forward in time, as an adult you can equip the Silver Gauntlets and move the huge
blocks and enter the second half of the Temple.

Koume and Kotake are another one of my favorite Temple bosses. When you enter their chamber, they will call on their minion
- the Iron Knuckle, to finish you off. ( there is a funny little interlude when he realizes that he forgot his axe.) Although
this Iron Knuckle is bigger than any of the others you've fought before, the same strategy applies, use Nayru's love and hit
him when his guard is down. After you defeat the Iron Knuckle, it will fall apart revealing Nabooru, the witches will come
and brainwash her again. Go through the door behind the stone chair and enter the witches lair. Stand in the middle of the
platform and the witches will appear from either side, with some rather amusing threats. Like many of the battle, this one
involves two parts. First, the witches will float around and spit fire or ice at you. Use the mirrow shield to deflect one
witches attack onto the other. Once you have done this three times, they decide to get serious and merge into one single witch
- twinrova.
This second part is much the same thing, except you must get three of the same attack before you can reflect it back at
her. Run over to one of the side platforms and attack her while shes stunned. Watch out, after you have hit her several times,
she will start to alternate between fire and ice. Once you have fire or ice on your shield, you cannot get hit by the opposite
attack, or it will dispel whatever energy you have and you have to start over. Once you defeat them, they split into two witches
again and have a very amusing argument. In the Chamber of Sages, Nabooru is revealed as the Sage of Spirit. She commends you
on your skill, and instead of keeping the promise she made, she gives you the Spirit Medallion. You will also recieve a message
from Rauru about the one who is waiting for you at the Temple of Time.
