This is the first of the five adult dungeons and the game has changed slightly. All the adult dungeons are longer than the
prevous ones, and each dungeon has locked doors that can only be opened with a small key and require a boss key to reach the
boss lair. Before you enter the Forest Temple, pay a visit to the Graveyard behind Kakariko Village. Pull back the graves
with flowers to discover Dampes tomb. Dampe will challenge you to a race. All you have to do is keep up ( don't fall into
the chasm in the last room, just follow the path around) with him and he will give you the hookshot in return.
The forest Temple will introduce you to some new enemies, along with some familiar ones. As you enter the Temple, the
four lit torches will morph into poes who hide throughout the Temple. In order to raise the elevator that leads to the bosses
lair you must defeat the four poe sisters. After you defeat Phantom Ganon, you will be transported back to the Deku Tree,
where the Deku Sprout will now flourish. He explains that you are a Hylian, hence why only you have grown up, and that it
was always your destiny to leave the Forest.
The boss of the Forest Temple is Phantom Ganon. This battle is divided into two parts: first you have to shoot him from his
horse as he rides through the pictures, then you have to bat his powerball back and forth. As he rides into the pictures,
shoot him as he bursts back out. This is harder than it seems, because he has a phantom that rides back and forth. FInd the
two paintings the you see him from, and the real Ganon should be a little brighter. After you hit him three times, his horse
will disappear and he will shoot power balls at you. Bat them back and forth until you hit him, then run in and hit him while
he's stunned. The hard part about this is that he floats at awkward angles, and sometimes you have to move around a bit to
get a good angle. After you defeat him, Ganondorf will express surprize for your skill, then threaten that the battle with
him will not be so easy.
